Orientation awesomeness

Orientation absolutely kicked ass. The prep work went smoothly, the orientation itself was really good, and the picnic was awesome. Maybe fifty people, in the park, talking up a storm and enjoying each other, with pizza and tons of delicious homemade munchies. I’m really pleased with how it all went, and I got a ton of compliments from everyone for pulling it off so well.

I have this deep-seated image of myself as the girl who does a half-assed job on the assignment the night before it’s due, the bookworm who doesn’t know how to socialize. One of these days, I’m finally going to get it through my head that that girl grew up a while ago.
